All required dance attire for BNDC classes are available for purchase in our online store.

Please note for Ballet classes the specific color leotards are ONLY available through our online store.  

BALLET CLASSES

Summer Ballet Classes may wear ANY color leotard

Tights

• Ballet Pink Convertible/Transition Tights

• Brown Convertible/Transition Tights (option for Black & Brown Dancers)

• Black Male Dance Tights/Leggings (Boys & Gender Neutral)

Shoes

• Ballet Pink Canvas no lace Shoes

• Brown Canvas no lace Shoes (option for Black & Brown Dancers)

• Black Male Canvas Dance Shoes (Boys & Gender Neutral)

Leotards/Tops

• Creative Movement: Any Pink Leotard

• Ballet/Tap Combo: Any Purple Leotard

• Petite Ballet/Lyrical: Any Blue Leotard

• Junior Ballet: Any Red Leotard

• Teen Ballet: Any Black or Gray Leotard

• (Boys & Gender Neutral) Any Plain White, Black, Gray or Blue Top

Additional Information

• No Attached Skirts or Tutus

• Must wear proper support garments such as bras, dance belts, etc.

• Hair neatly pulled back into a ponytail or bun

• Ballet warmup attire must be approved by the instructor and is limited to ballet sweaters, shrugs, and leg warmers.

• No Sweats or baggy clothing

• No T-shirts

COMBO CLASSES

*Note: Wear attire specified for the genres in your combination class.

For example, in Hip Hop/Tumble follow the dress code Hip Hop AND Acro/Tumbling with the attire that is appropriate for both styles and purchase both shoes necessary for the class.

COMBO BALLET/TAP: Please use Leather “Mary Jane” style tap shoe for girls and Leather “Oxford” style tap shoe for boys

JAZZ/MUSICAL THEATRE/CONTEMPORARY/TAP CLASSES

Tops

• Any color leotard, fitted top (camisole, tank, bra top, or crop, etc.) (Girls)

• Any fitted athletic or dance top (boys)

Bottoms

• Any color fitted leggings, dance shorts, capri, or dance pant- Tights optional with leotard and/or shorts (Girls)

• Any color athletic pants or shorts (Boys) 

Shoes

• Flesh Tone Jazz Canvas Jazz Shoes (Jazz) *MATCH YOUR SKIN TONE

• Tan Half-Sole Turners (Contemporary)

• Black Oxford Style Tap Shoes (Tap)

• Hair neatly pulled back out of the face (ponytail, bun, pigtails, braided, etc.

• Musical Theatre classes follow JAZZ dress code

HIP HOP CLASSES

Tops

• Any color fitted or loose top (camisole, tank, bra top, or crop, etc.) (Girls)

• Any fitted or loose athletic or dance top (boys)

Bottoms

• Any color fitted or loose leggings, dance shorts, capri, or dance pant (Girls)

• Any color fitted or loose athletic pants or shorts (Boys)

Shoes

• High Top Black Pastry Glam Pie Dance Sneakers w/ white trim (Unisex)

• (Boys can also get the plain Pastry’s)

Additional Information               

• No extremely baggy or plain street clothing; No street shoes- Hip Hop sneakers must be designated for dance only and never worn outdoors

• No tights or Ballet attire

ACRO/TUMBLING CLASSES

Tops

• Any color dance or gymnastics leotard, biketard, unitard, or fitted top (Girls)

• Any fitted athletic or dance top (boys)

Bottoms

• Any color fitted leggings, dance shorts, capris- bottoms not necessary with leotard (Girls)

• Any color athletic pants or shorts (Boys)

Shoes

• No Shoes
